A Few Holiday Tips for Your 4 Legged Friends

Today is my first posting, yeah! It's the day before Thanksgiving and here are some tips to help keep me and other furry friends safe during the holidays:

* Ask visitors to keep their medicine out of my reach. I'm a dog, I'll eat anything! and the smallest dose (even 1 pill) can be extremely dangerous to me and Spacejam, my fbff (feline best friend forever).
* Foods that are yummy and safe for you can be really bad for me. Grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate and anything that contains xylitol. So, tempting as it is, don't share your food with us. Giving us food we're not used to can cause lots of problems.
* And keep pretty plants away too. Mistletoe, holly, and plant bulbs like amaryllis and lilies should be kept out of our reach.
* Be careful when decorating and wrapping. We like shiny things! But they can be dangerous. So can electrical wires.

Since I'm just a puppy and not a licensed vet (but I like my vet because he gives me lots of treats when I go!), please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns. And for more tips, please visit www.akc.org.
